No, it's just how I see it. The title is down to how the creator sees it. Had you made the title something else, I would have seen it differently.

Thank you, Jim! Madame Pele is putting on a spectacular show without a doubt! I think she's doing a bit of house keeping. Sadly many homes have been covered up, but the truth is the state and county has been trying to figure out what to do with the sewage from all those homes as it was leeching into the ocean, so Madame Pele cleaned it all up for us since the state and county were taking forever and a day like they normally do.

I hope they learn the valuable lesson Madam Pele has taught them. It reminds me of when I was a child, I would never tidy my room. My Mum told me she would do it if I didn't and I wouldn't be happy with the way she wanted to do it. Foolishly I ignored her until one day I came home from school to find my bedroom had been cleared out. She had put all my things in bags and it took me ages to find my stuff again. I had to sort through it all and put everything away neatly before he was happy with me.

Thank you Mike! If I could get closer it would be so amazing to photograph, but the area is closed and stiff fines and arrests are being made to those caught trespassing, and I don't want to be part of the problem. I do miss the big earthquakes we had though...now they are mostly magnitude 5 or less :-)

Keep safe Joe. Good to hear that people are also being positive about such an awful situation and that people are helping each other. It is a beautiful image just a shame about the conditions. But the world is forever being changed by nature and that is something we can never stop. My prayers go to you and all others affected by the eruption.

That is a hard story. Joe, I started to write a lot of different things but after several tries the only things I can say are: It is a beautiful photo but I wish it was a photographic opportunity that did not occur and I pray that people can put their lives back together and nature will rebound and the volcano will go back to sleep. You are in our prayers.

Thank you very much, Butch! As much tragedy that people have suffered from losing everything it's really been an amazing thing to see how quickly people have pulled together to help make things as "normal" as possible. This island has huge helicopter tour businesses and it was awesome to see that these companies volunteered their pilots and helicopters to fly people in to save their pets and any last minute heirlooms before the lava covered their homes. The awesome beauty of nature mixed with incredible human spirit was revealed!

Re-birth and renewal Joe, we all need it from time to time although I can't imagine the trauma that must have been experienced by many people on the island as they faced nature in full flow.

Thank you very much, Philip! It's a life we live and believe that nothing is permanent and is very much a re-birth! The current eruption is ongoing from one that was constantly erupting since 1983 and that one covered 250 homes and some of the most beautiful beaches and swimming holes as well. Life goes on!

Thank you very much, Angie! Although the eruption is very active most people figure it will go on for a long time. This current eruption is an extension of sorts that started in 1983 and was continuous with no stopping for 35 years!

It is an amazing thing to see people work together and for each other to help everyone come through. The sense of community cannot be swallowed by lava, flood, fire or any other natural disaster that our earth can bring to us.
