I am a semi-professional photographer currently living in the Dordogne in SW France, though I have been travelling in France for over twenty years now. Having retired from academia in the UK I now have more time to devote to taking and editing photos. Although I have been taking photos for over forty years, and my first serious camera was a Russian Zenit B SLR using Kodachrome 25 slide film, I am still learning all the time and I am also learning to use editing software such as Photoshop and Lightroom as well as Silkypix Pro a RAW editing software application from Japan that emulates the Fuji transparency films I used to use in my pre-digital days. I especially enjoy taking photos of buildings and landscapes of which there are plenty of examples in SW France, and elsewhere, for me to photograph! I also enjoy spending time editing the images in order to create the image I saw with my naked eye.
I hope you like my photos and I am happy to share tips and techniques if you want to know more about how an image was created.
