Is there a minimum payment for photos I sell?

No, whilst there is a $25 minimum limit for revenue earnt through the paid per view system. Revenue earnt through selling photos has no minimum payout limit

Do I have to pay anything to get paid by ClickASnap?

No, you don\'t. We do limit uploads to 7 a day for free accounts. This is, however, primarily to limit poor quality content being uploaded in bulk. If you wish for unlimited uploads and access to selling your content it is £3 a month

Can I add text to my photos?

Excluding watermarks, only Pro or seller accounts may have photos with text included

Photoshop and Lightroom import settings

If your colours do not match ensure your output settings are sRGB or your colours will not match

What is ClickASnaps' commission on sales?

Commissions are worked out as follows: Total commission is 4% + £0.35 this is predominantly for paypals transaction costs. Other retailers hide this commission within the \'sale\' cost to you, we don\'t, we charge you exactly what we are charged for the cost of printing your product. Your client is charged the VAT (if applicable) and postage at the rates that it costs us. Therefore, transaction charges are calculated on the whole amount and removed from your profit. Commissions are split as follows: Paypal 3.5% + £0.30 Clickasnap 0.5% + £0.05 Example 1, a download product costs £0.50 and you set a price of £2, and it is bought in the UK Total sale cost is £2.40 Vat: £0.40 Total commission: £0.45 of which paypal commission is £0.38 Therefore profit is £1.50 - £0.45 = £1.05 Example 2, A print has a cost price of £50, and you set a margin of £25 The product is bought in the US and postage is £10, therefore total cost to client is £85 Total commission: £3.75 Paypal commission £3.27 Clickasnap commission £0.48 Total profit : £21.25

Do I have to pay for shipping?

No, your buyer pays for shipping

Do I need to place a copyright or logo on the image?

This is entirely upto you, however, be warned that the photo you sell is exactly what is uploaded

Are my images safe from downloading?

Whilst protecting images online is virtually impossible (users can always press the print screen button to get any image) We do ensure that only a compressed image is shown to your users, typically in the region of 50-100kb

Is there an upload limit?

Yes, on free accounts you can only upload 7 photos per day. We are very proud of the quality of the content on our platform and this limit prevents the proliferation of poor quality content

Can I sell my photos on ClickASnap?

Yes you can:

Sell your content as digital downloads
Sell your content as physically printed products such as mugs, canvases, prints etc
Option to give away free downloads

You can set the price at whatever level you wish. It is entirely upto you. The cost to access this is £3.00 per month and we take 10% of sales. A premium ad free account with higher resolution display images is also available for £5 per month

What browser should i use?

Currently Clickasnap is optimised for Google chrome and Safari. Using other browsers may cause errors with the site.

Do I need to title my photos?

In short yes. Photos without titles are not enjoyed by the users of the platform as much as photos with titles. People want to know where photos are taken, and without titles your photos cannot be organically found so it is advantageous to you to do this. Photos without names will be sporadically deleted when found.

If a photo is deleted do i lose my earnings?

No, unless the photo is deleted for breach of our guidelines no earnings are lost

What Does The 'Promote' button do?

Should you wish to get more subscribers, likes, views on your photos then this system for 5 cents per click puts your photo at the top of the search results ensuring that your content is always seen first during the duration of the promotion

Can I host content elsewhere?

Yes. ClickASnap is not an exclusive content hosting platform, you can place your content where ever you wish

Are Watermarked Photos Allowed?

Yes watermarked photos are allowed

Photo\'s are compressed though, this makes it very difficult to use any of your photos on any other site with a reasonable quality once ripped off of the site

What's The Maximum Photo Size?

The maximum photo size allowed is 25 Megabytes

My views and my payments don't match up properly?

To ensure we pay out the most we can to the content creators that put good high quality content on the platform we have an algorithm in place that notes the amount of time spent viewing a photo. Currently a photo has to be viewed for 5 seconds to be counted as a paid impression.

How do you get more views?

1) Make sure you have titled it properly, no title no one can find it

2) Add a description, if there\'s no description Google cannot find it 3) Make sure it is put in the proper category, if it\'s not in the proper category no one will view it

4) Share your photos on social media and forums

What file types can I upload?

The platform works best with JPEG files

Make sure you do NOT upload files of the following content:

Porn

Nudity this includes:

Strategically covered nudity Sheer or see-through clothing Lewd or provocative poses Close-ups of breasts, buttocks, or crotches

Gore

Violence

If you do they will be removed, if you do it twice your account will be banned for life, and no, you won\'t receive any renumeration from them

How much do I get paid?

Payment rates are currently 0.15 cents per view.

Payment rates are dictated by us according to a wide range of factors and are not directly correlated to any one single income/expense on the platform.

For comparison:

Youtube is $0.000640 per view (average)

Spotify is $0.0001 per play (average)

Instagram, Flikr, Facebook, 500px, Viewbug $0.00000000000 per view

How do I get paid?

When your payment reaches the payout threshold ($15) a notification will appear, click on that, fill in the details and you will be paid in our next run.

Payments are made via Paypal and are currently paid out within 24 hours of being requested

Is ClickASnap reliable?

Our platform is built on the Amazon AWS system, the same one Pinterest and dropbox use and can handle millions of users per hour, and billions of hosted files.

Our average monthly downtime is less than 5 minutes in every 31 days

Why are my photos compressed?

We compress the photos for several reasons, firstly, it makes it harder for people to steal them and post elsewhere, as the platform they upload them to will compress the photos further completely destroying the quality. Secondly the smaller the photos the less it costs us to store and transmit therefore the more money we have to pay the photo uploaders. To counter this we have created a photo download store where you can sell high quality images as downloads or print on demand

Does ClickASnap own any rights to content I upload?

No, ClickASnap claims no rights to any media you upload to the platform in perpetuity

What can I upload?

As long as the content can be deemed suitable for a 4 year old, eg no gore, sex, violence, porn, nudity (full or partial, this means no strategically covered nudity, sheer or see through clothing, lewd or provocative poses and close ups of breasts, buttocks or crotches) and that you own the full copyright to the content you may upload it and make money from it. You can upload photos, artwork, album covers, basically as long as it is a still image and it fits within the ethos of the content already present on the platform then you can upload it.

If any of the above is breached, the first time your content will be deleted, the second time your account will be deleted and banned for life. You will also receive no remuneration from your uploads.

The exception to these rules is Meme\'s, overly promotional content or anything that doesn\'t have artistic nature to it. If these are found in your account they will be deleted and any earnings will be redacted. If found a second time your account will be banned and all earnings lost
