Before investing in one, I was hoping that someone could tell me if the lens and my camera were compatible and would work. I've heard and read some good things Tamron and how in several tests and reviews by well known professionals they were rated, either very close behind or just ahead in quality. My only concern is that my camera may recognize the lens. I would just go for the 18-200, but it costs that little extra cash that I can't afford.
Thanks Tom, I'm just hoping that there are no issues with recognition between the two. I had one for a Sony that I bought (please don't judge me ) and that was fine, it's just that I've heard not all versions of a maker are compatible with certain camera models.tomoswald wrote:I used to have Nikon D7100 and had a few Tamron lenses, personally i didn't have any issues with them myself
That's just my plan as I'm buying from Ebaytomoswald wrote:just buy it with a credit card, paypal or new, that way if it doesn't work you can send it back
This is the lens I'm considering: Tamron 28-200mm AF XR IF F3.8-5.6 Macro lens
Thank you, you've been a great help. I really appreciate it. If it's too slow for at least it'll put me on for now. I have heard a lot of pretty good things about it though.tomoswald wrote:Looks pretty good http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/show ... roduct=253 a bit slow for what i do but other than that i'd say go for it
