Links in description

Post by ddrake » Tue Mar 24, 2020 9:29 am

Hi all,
Is it allowed to have links in the description of a photo?
Could either be links to general articles describing the place (e.g. from wikipedia) or to the official site of the place, which may be commercial in nature (for instance a museum with a ticket fee, a Hotel, etc.).

The links are not going to be directly clickable anyway (for security reasons URLs are disabled) but users may copy / paste the address in their browser bar.

Am still struggling with links:

a link as this:
https://www.gradara.org/en/
works

while something like this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucrezia_Borgia
does not work. Apparently it is interpreted as link only up to the underscore '_' character.

Also:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GonvH7ddG-g
does not work as it is interpreted as link only up tp the '?' character.

Can it be fixed? Or is there a special BBCode syntax to insert links in the description? I tried some but could not find any way.
Thank you.
