Re: Spam
Here's the thing. The more members CAS has, the more Tom can bring in from the advertisers as well as attracting new advertisers, so your suggestion would damage the business model and hit your earnings.
A site dedicated to photographers has little chance of success now due to social media. I ran a photography community with forums and a gallery for over 12 years called Pixalo. A tiny membership compared to CAS enabled moderation and a good standard of photography, but gradually the active membership fell away to social media and the advertisers left one by one and it had to be closed down.
Most of the people who have profiles like you describe think they are going to get rich here and rubbish photographs are so commonplace on social media that they have become the norm.

Re: Spam
I've had quite a few 'NICE SHOOT. KEEP SHARING' comments from this user and I've seen the same comment on quite a few other users images.

Re: Spam
I did wonder about this Graham. Not being a 'business person' I am a little clueless about that side of it. I agree totally about your last statement and I suppose that over time they will drift away when they realise that they are not going to get rich. I suppose that it is worth putting up with them to keep this great site alive and growing.dabhand16 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 8:26 amHere's the thing. Pretty annoying this one:

See e.g. this image where he is commenting on all other comments.

Re: Spam
Please, please do something about this user:
https://www.clickasnap.com/adidedic23
I reported it a few hours ago but this one is spamming all comments from other people with his own begging and spamming comment. When I asked him to stop I got the following answer in this image from Karlo: https://www.clickasnap.com/i/gyvlcjn1e2thejwo
"If I get a message from clickasnap I will stop doing it. If you don't wanna see it block me just
I'm trying to get people without too much paying for it. So only if admin from this website tell me to stop I will stop
Don't read it and block me it is your choice you can just don't look it

Re: Spam
I have reported this guy a few times today and his profile (https://www.clickasnap.com/adidedic23) was removed. However, he's back and still begs for follows and such. Doesn't even have photos posted. Seriously?

Re: Spam
I am getting really tired of this user - https://www.clickasnap.com/kheddimeaymen
He keeps adding a whole string of comments to my images, each one taking up lots of space, as on this image - https://www.clickasnap.com/i/zr70wfi3wvr63ska
Several times I have gone through and deleted all his comments, only for them to reappear a few minutes later. It is so selfish and stops other people's comments from being visible. Is he doing this with other people?
