Photographing a flame thrower

So i was playing around with a deodorant can flame thrower earlier https://youtu.be/ds1h_ZcDnVg and filmed it in slo mo

I'm going to try and photograph the ball of flame, any tips?

I imagine you will be using a remote shutter release and shooting jpg. to optimize your burst count. Other than that try not to burn anything you may regret later. :D

Tried it first time last night, it's remarkably difficult to do as you have to use a flash. I was using a light activated remote shutter. May try it in the dark next time i do it.
