Thanks for the tip about 500PX.
I've noticed that the images on 500PX seem sharper, and show more detail.
Also, except for the cheesy nudes, more of the images look like they were taken by more accomplished photographers.
After a couple of days playing on 500PX, here are some observations:
-Images do look better on 500PX.
-It is such a busy site, with so many submissions, that your pictures can easily get lost in the crowd. I noted that my visibility on its version of "EXPLORE" went down to ZERO in fourteen minutes after uploading.
-Alot of very ordinary images get hundreds, or a thousand "LIKES". Clearly some contributors are using bots to inflate their numbers.
-Their members are not a chatty bunch. They don't seem to comment on submissions as much as on ClickASnap.
-Neither are they very social. It seems that they are less likely to follow your work than the ClickASnap users.
-Finally, they don't pay for views.
I have a question regarding image quality, images that sometimes appear blurry and sometimes appear clear and sharp. What causes this and how can it be avoided? For instance when I view my photos in my account they look sharp and clear but when I shared one to my feed this morning it looks huge, blurry and like crap on my profile feed. Do you know why that happens? Is it just on my end? I'm using Chrome but it also looks that way in IE/Edge browser too. And sometimes my profile photo looks blurry and sometimes it doesn't. I have also noticed these issues with other people's photos as well.
