As cold as ice just a little bit colder. I’ve got to say this week in the United States of America has been a very painful one. We have over 100,000 people die from covid in less than four months, a number that I can’t seem to comprehend.

We had a police officer hold his knee over a mans neck while he states he can’t breathe until his heartbeat stopped. We have a president that has withdrawn from the World Health Organization as many states open up and viral cases and deaths continue.

I do not see or believe the people of the United States has a president that cares. He’s cold, has no empathy, no morals and no truth. We have no Captain and are on a rudderless ship with no horizon in sight. He has created much heartbreak, sorrow and has created the divided states of America.

Joe the picture is good- but your sentiments follow exactly how I feel. I have been an independent for most of my life but I would say I have been on the conservative side. I was not a fan of either candidate in 2016 but this orange faced buffoon scared the living daylights out of me. I agree he is trampled every thing we hold dear in this country of ours. I really fear the closer we get to our election he will do something to rig the election and if he looses which I pray he does, he will do something to find a way to stay in power. Let's hope the core of Trump Believers can come to their senses, see what he and his sycophants are doing to this country and step up and we can vote him out so resoundly he will not dare do anything but slink away forever. I fear not---

I do not know how to determine the behavior of all politicians in the world. It is so sad for all the people who lost loved ones in this pandemic. Here in Spain we are slowly entering a freer regime.

I'm always very cautious about judging Trump and those who voted for him - some of what he said resonated with a lot of people in the US. I do not like what i see of him but we get a very filtered view in the UK (except for the fact that his twitter feed speaks volumes). I would like to think he couldn't be elected here, but I am not convinced of that. It astonishes me that I now hearken back the the GW Bush years with a wish that the Republican party could do something more like that next time round because it's less bad. That said, the UK government has delivered a higher death rate per million population from Covid (I think now maybe the highest in the world), and has protected its advisers who chose to break rules they themselves set. So I'm not sure the UK is in any position to criticise. I hope your next president is an improvement, we have to wait 4 more years for a new government and I dread what can happen in that time.

Thank you, jezprime! I appreciate your comment, and I don't want to be political, but he's just wrong for democracy, human decency, and his words and actions are becoming much more dangerous. I wouldn't be surprised if he steals the upcoming elections and his party followers will fo nothing to stop him. In my opinion, since we have all become part of a global community, we all need to criticise any wrong. Thanks again.

Questions should be asked about the high death rate in the UK from Covid.

Wonderful image, and those eyes! Brilliantly shot.

I totally get your conversation with Michael Flick, I can't believe either of these 'persons' got elected, but then, there was no real opposition here in the UK, so that might account for ours. Lets hope better people come forward in the future, take care guys

In the UK we have a buffoon in charge who cannot tell the truth, a good example are stories about the actions of Cummings when he broke lockdown rules.

Thank you for your comment, Howard. I appreciate it! I've seen stories of Cummings, but at least your buffoon has a cool English accent and makes complete sentences.

Many of us in Australia sit in absolute disbelief as what is going on there. Mind you, when it comes to the treatment of disadvantaged people, our lot aren't much better. It seems the US is imploding in a big way, like a train crash in slow motion. I cannot imagine the pain that sits with so many people there right now. For some it must feel so totally hopeless. We would not be surprised if the States ends up in another Civil War . . . over what I have on idea.

Thank you very much for commenting, Denise. Watching a bit of news today brought tears to my eyes - so sad. I can't believe what's happened to my country.

It is heartbreaking. The best I can do is share the pain, Hope, and pray.
