Lockwood Station Entrance

Taken on a recent visit to Lockwood Railway Station, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Opened in July 1850 as a double track station, the stop used to be a junction station as the Meltham Branch line used to split from the main line just to the south of here. The station has been unmanned since the 1960's, survived closure threats, and was singled along with much of the Penistone Line in 1989. www.colingreenphotography.co.uk
