Bloodroot, A Spring Wildflower Found in Many Chicago Gardens (2019-04-16 13-22-15a)
Bloodroot - Order Ranunculales : Family Papaveraceae : Subfamily Papaveroideae : Tribe Chelidonieae : Sanguinaria canadensis (It is the only species in its genus.)
The flowers were blooming in gardens along my street in Chicago, Illinois (Edgewater). The species is native to eastern North America.
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. Editing was done using ACDSee Ultimate 2019. I erased a stray petal and then adjusted the white balance and the lighting. Then I increased the contrast, clarity, sharrpness and saturation in the yellows. Next I lowered the noise and adjusted the levels.
