CEBADILLA SILVESTRE.

Las hojas formadas por vaina basal y laminadas por la lígula. Su espiga es la inflorescencia de la planta que se considera prolongación del tallo, es densa, quebradiza, cilíndrica, y está constituida por grupos de 3 espiguillas ,glumas o glumelas de una sola flor. La del centro de cada grupo es bisexual, mientras que las 2 laterales son estériles o solo tienen anteras. Las puntas de las brácteas se extienden formando largas aristas ásperas y cada grupo de espiguillas se desprende unido a la única semilla. Florece en primavera verano. Fruto generalmente cariopse.

The leaves formed by a basal sheath and laminated by the ligule. Its spike is the inflorescence of the plant that is considered an extension of the stem, it is dense, brittle, cylindrical, and is made up of groups of 3 spikelets, glumes or glumelae of a single flower. The one in the center of each group is bisexual, while the 2 lateral ones are sterile or have only anthers. The tips of the bracts spread out, forming rough edges and each group of spikelets detaches together with the single seed. It blooms in spring summer. Fruit generally cariopse.
