I own two "overseas trunks" like the one at the bottom here, but we do not have enough space to display them ("useful display") in the apartment. Safely in a rented storage unit, along with loads of my goodies.

You need to take them to an old-looking station and make photos with them :)

Splendid idea, Jez, I can just visualise myself dragging both of them onto a train to get to an old-looking station to set them up there... Back in our home in the bush I did have a stack of I think four suitcases against a dark blue wall, and above it I had mounted two authentic vintage luggage racks from NSW (New South Wales) Rail (a present, not souvenired by myself), with smaller old bags, backpacks and a pair of antique metal ice skates (to be fastened to a boot) on top and hanging from the rails. To finish the vignette, a pair of old skis and wooden poles in the corner. All safely stored away now... :-( I somehow doubt that one day we will create vignettes on a shelf displaying our nostalgic electronic devices. Having said that, also in storage, I still have my I think four Macintosh laptops, all the way to the one that had the tracking ball. Apart from the last one, they had already been outdated when they came into my possession from my husband's office, I simply re-installed an earlier version of OS and they served me well, until the rise of the Internet. Yet, my current desktop iMac was born in 2012 and is still going strong.

It is probably the most "storytelling" image I've ever managed, and ironically it wasn't planned way ahead or thought out before I arrived that afternoon. I wish there had been someone around so i could have asked them to be a silhouetted figure in the background though!
