Summer moved on...

I shot this very scene yesterday. But at home I was not too happy with the dull autumn colours. So I tried b&w for the first time. Better. But still I found the boats etc. on the opposite bank too distracting. So, when I saw the fog this morning, I knew what to do!
This is not really my style, but still – I kind of like it...

Thank you! - b&w was not really a "choice" - it did not work at all in colour.

Really think the lone chair adds to the atmosphere, great pic!

Thank you. Yes, the old and broken chair was very important. I would have loved to have it a little more to the center but on the left side of it was a rather modern bench which I wanted to exclude from the frame.

The thing I like about it on the left of the frame is that your eyes are initially drawn to the water, then the wooden jetty leads you back to the chair. Encourages you to linger on the image to fully process it

Thank you for your comment. I agree, I just would like it a tiny little bit further away from the border. What also starts bothering me is this black log in the water in the center of the picture. It is completely irrelevant but still very dominant due to its strong contrast against the water... ;-)

:) I can see it now you've mentioned it but I don't think it detracts from it being a great picture! Nice work!
