Ruins of glory ..

Garh Panchkot is a ruined fort located in the eastern part of India at the foothills of Panchet Hill in the district of Purulia, West Bengal. The ruins of the Panchkot Palace are a silent testimony to the Bargi attack during the 18th century.

Another amazing photo of an amazing subject. Love that there is a person in the image. I think he adds a lot to the photo. Looking closely, it appears as if this structure is the entire fort, but it does not seem possible because it is so small. Is this only a small remnant of what was a much larger fortress?

You are so right, it's just a temple at the entrance, the actual fort spreads over the uphill for quite a large area, mostly dilapidated and inaccessible. Thanks so much Mark :)
