A beautiful covered bridge at Flume Gorge, Grafton Notch State Park. The bridge was built in 1886 and spans the Pemigewasset River. It has been re-roofed a few times, but many of the original timbers remain. The bridges were covered to protect the timbers from the weather and make them last longer. The mini buses used to ferry tourists to the start of Flume Gorge still use the bridge to cross the river.
