To forget

so that i can ameliorate the memory of my previous people picture. Not sure what kind of birds were perched in this tree, but they did not fly away even after the sun was up...I think they were frozen :) Officially called "that Wanaka tree" by the city and marked with a proper sign!

Thank you very much, Michael! Even though i've seen many pictures of this tree, i am happy to have had a shot at it too. it's located next to the main street in Wanaka and unless i wanted to walk into the water my options were limited as to making it look any different :)

I never care about how many people took a shot of specific subject before. I take my shots and hope I do as good as most of them :)

you're right, Michael. I should not care either and will make a conscious effort. In my eyes your pix are far better than most!

i think it's become a tree that is overshot and i shot it the same way everyone else does, but i am happy to have been there and gotten a picture for myself...even if it looks like all the others

Thank you, Trevor! I looked at all the other pictures like this one and thought i wanted one too! the thing about this is i stopped in this town called "wanaka" and only then discovered that the tree is here right next to a parking lot!

Thank you, Phil! for the time being, i do not plan to get used to these crowds, and i wonder why the men all seem to smoke and stink up the fresh air. i am so relieved i do not see or experience this were i live!

Awww, you, too! Good job! I gave in, too, as I felt it rude not to make an effort. Only about six more photographers there that morning. I see you were given a dusting of snow on the mountains to add to the allure, I shall not bother uploading any of mine now! – The birds are cormorants.

Thank you very much, Irene! I did not know this was the place with the tree until after I arrived. The same thing happened with the Church of the Good Shepherd. I should plan my trips better :)

You have already gone to a few places that I wanted to see/photograph, and your lens is sharper. I am turning the same shade as the vegetation, with envy. - Essentially, one just needs to follow the fleet when touring NZ...

Thank you, Irene. It's a big place and so much to see! This lens is crazy sharp and lucky me because now I don't need to do any further sharpening. As much as I prefer color, I don't want you to be "green" in that way. I am on my own and making my own way, but being on a tour is really a lot of fun too!
