This is the Rio Grande, U.S.- Mexico Border, as it flows through Boquilas Canyon in Big Bend National Park, Texas. Ah the natural wilderness in one of the least visited National Parks in the U.S. where you see few other people and enjoy the peaceful quiet but for the flowing water and sounds of nature. However..., you see a man on the Mexico side of the river and he has a sign on the U.S. side as you approach this area that informs you he is "Singing Jesus", and he hopes you will enjoy his singing with his guitar. What he really hopes is you will leave him tips in his hat that he has placed here with some handmade trinkets available for purchase or to be taken for free if you don't care for his vocalizations I guess since he can't easily or quickly cross the river which has a strong current. We took no trinkets but enjoyed his serenade, sort of, and left him some cash in his hat.
