McDermand Rd. Homestead- B&W Version

I have been photographing this old homestead for over a decade. The last winter did some major damage as it lost the back kitchen area and all the roof rafters and a lot of the second floor. Sad, to think one more winter and it could finally be totally down. Since I was shooting into the bright sun I went with a B&W version.

very nice contrast, light and shadows! You've documented this old building and you know it will be gone sooner than later.

Thanks Joe- I have a decade or more on this home and I will be sad when it is gone. Such a major change this last winter.

Super image Mike, really suits b&w and agree about the shadows, they add extra interest into the foreground, nice one.

Thanks Mark-- With the bright sunlight at 9am, I did not see another way to shoot directly into the sun and make it somewhat compelling. I really like the shadwos thrown by the cattle shute in the front left

Yes I agree. I noticed the shadows also and it does add a lot to it. The longer I look at it, the more I like it. Really good image!
