In Flagrante Delicto

In Flagrante Delicto. I’ve got my 10 stopper now so it may be blowing a hooley outside but I can calm the waters. By the way, “Blowing a Hooley” is either Scottish, Irish or Indian, origin uncertain, for a strong wind, and is nothing to do with Julio Iglasis. Deer Hill Reservoir near Meltham.

Thanks and thanks for sharing. This was the first successful image that I made with my 10 stopper and I get my feet wet.

I'm a big fan of that very smooth and soft look. Your photo just looks fantastic, Howard!

Thanks, now that I've looked at this image again I would made some minor changes, see my reply to Joe below.

I see what you mean. To me the dam is not so disturbing, as it provides kind of a handle to the eye to hold on ...do I make sense here?

Personally, I would soften the foreground to better match the soft middle- and background. On the other hand one might argue, that this contrast gives the image some kind of stability.

You see, Howard, this picture of yours isn't just a photo, but a piece of art inviting to be discussed!

        [thumbsup]

It's a beauty and quite artistic looking! Nice edits or is that the 10 stopper effects?

Thanks. It's 3 images combined (as far as I can remember) one for the sky, one for the shore and one using the big stopper for the water. The dam wall is just visible on the horizon, I wish I'd removed it in Photoshop.

Hello Howard, I just want to tell you that I've been looking at yours photos ALL your photos several times, you're so incredibly good, no...great. I can only to be as good as you're. The only thing I din't understand is why did subscribed to my page here, I'm nothing like you and the photos produced by the FZ300 are nothing like yours ...Even if I don't understand it's an honour coming from someone like you. I love the comments that goes along with your photos I sense a guy with a lot of sense of humour PS I've invited you on FB

I find your comments very kind and flattering, I try not to take things to seriously. Thank you. I subscribed to your channel because I saw some images that I liked including the one of the dead wood on the beach. I didn't realize that the invite on FB was yours and I've deleted it, sorry, but I've started following you now. It's just that I get some inappropriate request on FB so if I don't know the person I ignore the request.

I thought blowing a hooley was something to do with glass blowing. Or maybe it was welding. I remember being told to be careful when welding sheet metal about blowing a hooley in it from too much heat. ;-)

A 10-stopper? That sounds devastating. But the result is certainly interesting here.
