What once was

This was one of my favorite spots just a few minutes from my door step, and when my buddy boy was alive we would come here nearly everyday. Now I rarely come here, and you can see how long ago this photo was taken. The sweetest, happiest and most wonderful memories remain with me and this carries me on.

Beautiful blue mood. It seems it fits the sweet-and-sorrow memories. Though painful, in a way is always nice to remember.

A sweet spot with treasured memories. If you go here at any point, I hope it can be a time where you might feel connected to the companionship of a special creature. Healing hearts takes a long time.

It's obvious that you still miss him. I think you'll be pleased to know that Louis is still enjoying life at 14 but at a much slower pace with a list of medical problems including cancer which at the moment is in remission.

Thank you very much, Howard! I do miss my boy very much, and sometimes I think that's not "normal" after so much time has passed, and I tell myself it's okay as he was very special to me for nearly 15 years and I know I'm not "normal" anyway. I am very pleased and it made me smile and feel happy to know that Louis is well, enjoying life and in remission! Thanks again!

We all react differently to events in our lives and what’s “normal”?

Beautiful place and shot :) I remember seeing it from time to time :) well, life goes on but the memories stay with us. Maybe you should go there to take some shots in memory of your buddy ...

Thank you, Michael! Yes, life goes on and I'm glad to have so many fine memories. Now days when I am in Hawaii I feel so uninspired to take any photos...may be this would be a good place to start up.
