Farm Gate and the Daffodils, Duns Tew, Oxfordshire

Taking the dog for a walk each day, I always pass through this farm gate, travelling through the yard and then out across the fields. The gate was built by the farmer (Tom) and has been in use for many years and is still very smooth to operate. With daffodils blooming everywhere, I thought that the softness of the flowers contrasted well with the iron gate. Look closely at it and you will see it is covered with yellow lichen. This gate has always fascinated me.
I only had my phone with me so this image was taken using that.
