You have managed a good composition, Jim, not easy with so much action going on. As you may know, I tend to look for dynamic triangles in a composition, and here you deliver with the "surviving" fighters, and one of the hay bales. The smoke diffuses some of the business in the background. Most of all, you lived to show us the tale!

      Thank you, Irene

To be honest, my main preoccupation at the time was a fast enough shutter speed and avoiding other members of the public that were watching, the first was easy it was a sunny day so plenty of light but the second was less easy as you can imagine the crowds were all around the action and were competing for the best vantage point These events would be great if it weren't for other people turning up to them as well…. Annoying So and So’s Anyway I managed it in the end and fired off a load of shots of my own and this was the best of a bad bunch. The hay bales and smoke worked out for me but it was a bit of a fluke. Nevertheless, I will take the composition compliment. I also had the good fortune to have my grandson with me at the time and he was in his superman costume this enabled him to deflect any rounds heading our way. Never go to these events without backup

Yes, take the compliment, Jim, your photo-finding radar was finely tuned. We may soon have situations where almost nobody turns up to these events due to some virus that is apparently making the rounds. Good thing you have Superman around, he may be virus-deflecting, too, as long as it does not contain kryptonite, of course. I never thought of having any back-up other than a spare memory card and a couple of other lenses!
