Dog On Bench

Working bred Bearded Collie, Rab C , takes a bench break from his walk in the woods. He's feeling his age (aren't we all ! ) and likes to stop for a rest these days - it doesn't last long before he's back to his youthful charging around, bossing Paddy about and demanding a 'toy drop' .

    Toy drop?

Is this some kind of strange code?

By the by. I see in my notifications that you commented on my post about winning the photo contest. Thanks to the 'unique' way this site works, I can't see what you wrote. That's why I have not posted a reply. Was it anything important?

No, not a strange code but a game we play with our dogs. Instead of throwing a toy for them to retrieve we drop a toy on a walk then send them to find it. We had to devise a way of playing with Rab C ( this one ) without throwing as he is so enthusiastic that he tends to injure himself - normally a day before we were competing!

No important comment, just 'congratulations' !

        You do dog agility trials?

I used to have a client that did those here in Spain with a very angry Jack Russell. Damn thing used to snarl and spit at anyone that was in the room.

No, we did competition obedience, gave up last year when we got our motorhome and decided to do the travelling without the competing. Always found agility far too noisy. Love the sound of the fiery JRT, they are very sweary type dogs !

Lovely image, like the low viewpoint and eye contact :)
