Time had arrived for the Blade to be removed from Victoria square in Hull. This image is not especially about composition or light or all the techy stuff that normally surrounds photography as access was limited due to health and safety, vehicles and barriers but more to record a momentous moment in time when workforces pulled together to complete this mammoth task. One member of the workforce in particular was my son in the crane shown who is preparing for a tandem lift with his colleague of this huge structure. Very controversial, was the Blade art or simply an attraction? It doesn't really matter this was great for the city and for every one to get close to, touch and even have a selfie with.
