Every Four Hours

Every Four Hours. This little lamb is called Jeremy, but he has earned the nickname “Tiny, Shouty Lamb” because he is very small and very loud. Peter is bottle feeding him every four hours because he is too small to feed from his mother and his two older sisters who are much bigger than him bully him. Tiny Shouty could be the smallest Soay lamb ever? Sadly, I’ve found out on my last visit to Elysium that Jeremy died.

This is another image I really enjoy (and I am aware that I commented before). Your captions are always insightful and often entertaining and I truly appreciate your dry sense of humour. But beyond that, your images often allow my imagination to run wild and interpret your work in a way that is meaningful to me. And that goes far beyond the technical aspects of photography, be it DoF, PoV, lighting, composition and so on. Changes to this site are apparent, and as I understand it, restrictions are imminent, however, I wanted to express my admiration for your work as a whole before I am deleted. I think there is a definite artistry in what you share and, at least in my opinion, you craft is noteworthy. I truly admire your talent and I wanted to express that. Thank you for sharing your work which I truly find magical. And Louis has left a most definite impression on me. You'll need to let him know :-).

Thank you, I really appreciate your comment, in fact, it's the most moving comment I've ever had and I'll be keeping a copy of it. Louis is a character and everyone likes him and I feel lucky to have him. I got him by accident because an ex-girlfriend left him with me, he often jokes that we both got dumped! Thanks again.

Great shot, super lighting and composition. It's sad Jeremy moved on and comforting to know he was cared for to the end. I think we are lucky or privileged to have been part of a soul's life when life brings events such as this to us.

Thank you and thanks for sharing. Peter and Tricia run a farm called Elysium in an area called Hades above Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. They specialize in Soay sheep, which is a rare, primitive, sheep similar to the ancestors of modern sheep. You can find hem on Facebook, they love visitors. That's the long answer, the short answer is: in the barn.
