Black Sike Dike

Black Sike Dike. We’ve had a lot of rain recently and the local rivers are currently in full flow. This one flows down to join the River Holme and although it doesn’t seem much, it supplies a mill pond on the way. It was almost dry in the summer, reduced to just a few puddles, but nature has a way of balancing itself out, as long as we don’t f**k the planet up too much.

Beautiful light, soft water, colors and composition. Nicely done! Weather extremes will may our lives a lot more interesting and probably more challenging too.

Yes, I agree, and I know that I've been a big offender in the past, contributing to global warming by driving lots of miles (for work).

Thanks, I focus stacked three images to get the image sharp front-to-back and then blended in the long exposure image for the water.

We can't win against nature. Just look at chernobyl, the place if overrun now with animals that are resistant to the effects of radiation.
