Across Wilson Bridge, Copley.

The bridge named after the former owner of the toll house Mr Graham Wilson is the replacement for the former Copley Toll Bridge that stood from 1831 until damaged beyond repair by the Calder Valley Boxing Day Floods in 2015. Copley Village can be seen beyond the bridge and River Calder. More of my pictures and information can be seen at, www.colingreenphotography.blogspot.co.uk

From your other photos, I thought this hadn't looked wide enough for motor vehicles. Now I'm sure. Is it just a walking bridge or do cyclists also use it? I've never heard of walkers having to pay a toll before.

The bridge is for walkers only. The original stone bridge was built as a toll crossing but this was ended many years ago.
