Daisy

This is image was taken during the same shooting as the previous I’ve uploaded www.clickasnap.com/i/v366f10b8mvprepe
The gear and the procedure were the same but I want to add a few details about my post processing in Lr and Ps. I usually begin in Lr with Lens Corrections and some minor adjustments in highlights, shadows, whites and blacks adding a bit of vibrance (no more than +10) in order to “wake up” the raw file (with the new version of Photoshop you can do that any time with the Camera Raw Filter) Then I proceed in Ps with removing all the annoying dust and particles that can be seen when you zoom in at 100%. A bit of sharpening is necessary for macros and colour correction if required.
I get more and more excited learning new things at Photoshop, but I always keep in mind not to exaggerate and turn the page to image manipulation chapter…

Beautifully lit, wonderfully soft dreamy image. Rich in colour and sufficient contrast and shadows. Very nicely done. :)

Beautiful photo. For what it's worth I think image manipulation is fine - it's surely about your creative vision as an artist above all else. I don't do it often, but if I want to because it'll give me the picture I want, I won't hold back because "it's not quite what I saw". I think it gets a bad rep, personally, in the same way as some people frown on any use of lightroom and think "only what comes out of my camera is right", ignoring that the camera itself does processing programmed into it by someone they'll never meet! Just enjoy making pictures however you choose to do it :)

First of all thank you for sharing the image.

I totally agree with you. I just think of photo manipulation as an extension or as a separate branch of photography. This is a great subject we can talk about for days and maybe we should create a discussion in the forum so others might join us.

Nowadays I experiment a lot with processing the image beyond of what I really saw. But I don't share this kind of work here. Some day I might.

I hope we continue this discussion in the forum... :)
