Get Off my Land

Get Off my Land. I bumped into a fellow tog called Rik, @riik23, and we spent a pleasant evening photographing the sunset. At one point two men with guns appeared and told us to leave. The last time this happened I was in Hungry as a boy with my parents. At the time, Hungry was a soviet satellite state behind the iron curtain. Two Russian soldier told us to stop talking to the locals and leave. Dad drove quickly to the border with Austria.

    Lovely photo!

We don't have this issue in Norway (and a few other countries)

Freedom to Roam is really nice, but during hunting season it's sort of wise to be careful :-)

Thanks. We have a similar system in the UK where there is open access land. Such land normally has signs to indicate that it is open access and all land above 1000 feet (I think) is open access land.

I'm told that you can't call yourself a proper photographer until you have been thrown off someones land or chucked out of a building for taking photographs. Nicely done, Howard.

Thanks and thanks for sharing. As always I'm exaggerating a little, we were on private land used for hunting and fishing and they were the game keepers. They didn't threaten us and allowed us to continue.

Cheers, it was getting very dark by this time so the image needed a bit of help in LR.
