Common Cucumber Spider (F) - Araniella cucurbitina ( but may be A.opisthographa as they are very similar in size and appearance )

Taken in my garden back at the beginning of July 2017.

Both A.cucurbitina ( Common Cucumber Spider ) and A.opisthographa ( Cucumber Spider ) the commonest of the five British species are indistinguishable in size and appearance.
Very attractive coloured spider and I like the bright red blob above the spinnerets which can only be seen from below so I was lucky that this lady was at a good height to show it off.
Males are darker and have black bands on their legs and the margins of the carapace.

The other three species are described as rare.
