Cobra Moth

When I first encountered this invertebrate I couldn't tell if it was a moth or a butterfly. Thanks to Butch I now know that it is a Attacus Atlas Cobra Moth. Although it's origin is reported to be Asian, I found this one in a garden in the Caribbean..

    Great photo. I believe it might be an "Attacus atlas Papillon cobra moth". When I do a search for that phrase it brings up images with that name that appear to be identical to the one in your photo. Nice find!
