Thank you very much, Ontologys Dreamscape! This was taken at Milford sound on the south island of New Zealand.

:) what do you suggest for a trip...New Zealand or Tasmania first
        • Joe Lightheart
I've never been to Tasmania so I can't say, but I highly recommend New Zealand. I stayed at Airbnbs and many times with only hours of prior notice and had zero problems with places to stay. The next time I go I might hire a camper style van and do more camping. There's really good places and apps for locations too. I spent most of my time on the southern island - it's a lot less populated. New Zealand is fantastic, wonderful people great places to hike, etc., etc. Can't go wrong with New Zealand! I also went right after peak season so was better, less crowds, less people and not as expensive.

Nice thanks for the info...we tried to go to the Island by ferry but you cant bring a dog cause of quarantine... it's going to be Norway first now...and I bought new equipment so New Zealand is going to be on hold for a while but I totally looking forward to it :)

Nice scene. A bit foreboding. What are those white dots? Just kidding. I've been reading the other comments. :-)

Thank you very much, Denise! This was taken in New Zealand and I had just gotten this camera two days before I left on my trip. Looking at my camera settings made me laugh as the settings make no sense. ISO 400 and 1/1600sec - ridiculous! Haha!

I don't know what your focal length was, but I am guessing it wasn't 1600mm. So yes, your camera must have been so in awe of the vista that it temporarily lost its marbles! ;-)

Looks super moody, like it's about to dump some nasty weather on you. What are those white dots on the shoreline? Think I would have cloned them out.
    • Joe Lightheart
Thank you, socialtruant! The dots are boats and overnight cruise ships. Now that you pointed them out - that's all my eyes see! Thanks a lot for that! Haha!

Yes I have the same problem. When I see something wrong or out of place in a photo I can't unsee it.
