Fayette MI. Is a State Park in Michigan & is touted as a ghost town. I remember stomping around the ruins as a kid, picking up the green slag remnants from the old furnaces, throwing them into the deep harbor with a satisfying plunck as it hit the water. This was a thriving company town, houses, people, a school, the doctors house until it’s citizens were unemployed due to changing methods of making pig iron. As things change today, they reflect our past.
