ClickASnap’s Paid Per View benefit is complex and one of a kind, so in order for ClickASnap to protect this benefit from being abused, as well as protecting the genuine members on ClickASnap’s platform, it does have parameters set around it of which any member’s receipt of our Paid Per View benefit does depend on. This policy will outline how the Paid Per View benefit works, how we assess a member’s eligibility to receive it, and in what instances this benefit will not be applied.
ClickASnap’s Paid Per View Policy is also applied in line with our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. This means the member’s entitlement to the Paid Per View benefit also depends on whether or not they have remained in line with our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines throughout the lifetime of their membership with us.
Paid Per View benefit
When the member uploads one or more images onto ClickASnap’s platform, we monetize the image/s through advertisement revenue. A percentage of this then gets paid back to the member. The currency in which this is paid in is USD and this is paid via PayPal only, we will not consider making payments relating to our Paid Per View benefit via any other method. We determine how much the member receives back per image based off of the number of views the image receives. The view on the image must fall under our definition of a Paid View in order for the member to receive payment from the image. There is no limit to the number of Paid Views a member can receive on an image.
ClickASnap’s definition of a Paid View
In order for a view to fall under the umbrella of our Paid Per View benefit, an image view must fit certain criteria. The criteria required has been specified to protect the Paid Per View benefit from abuse, ensuring that we can continue offering it our members, to stop members from profiting off of other people’s work and to ensure We remain a viable business.
The criteria of a Paid View is as listed below:
- The view must last five seconds long minimum
- The image, when being viewed, must be in focus
- The view must be created organically i.e. not by a bot
- The view must not be a result of Click Circles
- The view must not be a result of incentivising a paid view i.e. begging
A member’s entitlement to ClickASnap’s Paid Per View benefit
ClickASnap’s Paid Per View benefit is an additional perk of any of our chargeable memberships, however, it is not the only benefit included under these. With this in mind, just because the member has purchased a chargeable membership, this does not automatically mean they are entitled to receive ClickASnap’s Paid Per View benefit.
As aforementioned, the member must remain in line with our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines throughout the lifetime of their membership with us. This means that any member in breach of these will not receive the Paid Per View benefit on their account, and any withdrawal request will be declined. We do not tolerate any member breaching our Terms of Service or going against our Community Guidelines, so any decision made by ClickASnap to retract this benefit is final and will not be available for discussion or amendment.
Beyond remaining in line with our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines, the member’s profile must meet certain criteria to benefit from ClickASnap’s Paid Per View benefit. This criteria has been specified to protect the integrity of ClickASnap, to encourage growth and viability of ClickASnap, to protect genuine members of ClickASnap and to discourage low quality imagery on the platform, in turn mitigating the threat of Click Circles.
When reviewing the below criteria, it is important to remember that we are a platform for photographers; professional, budding and hobbyists, who want to show case their work as well as interact and discover other artists. Our platform is not designed for the upload of generic content with the intent to abuse ClickASnap’s Paid Per View benefit.
The below criteria must be met alongside an account remaining in line with our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. All profiles assessed against the below will be done so according to the expectations of a reasonable person:
- Uploaded images must be of adequate resolution
- Uploaded images must be in focus except where technically intended otherwise
- Uploaded images must have good lighting, as appropriate to the style of photo being taken
- Uploaded images if edited, must not be done so obscenely
- ClickASnap profiles must not used as a ‘photo dump’
To summarise, ClickASnap’s Paid Per View benefit is an important aspect of our platform, and we will not hesitate to protect it from abuse. All aspects of this policy are final, and all registered accounts are subject to it.
