I can vaguely remember using an old 110 film camera in my youth, but the first camera I remember purchasing was a Canon Sure Shot 105 zoom 35mm film camera. Its first task was to document my trip rafting the Grand Canyon. I'm fairly certain I still have that old Canon buried in a closet somewhere. My love for photography has grown rapidly over the past few years as I've been able to upgrade to cameras with interchangeable lenses. New equipment has given me both opportunity and motivation to improve my creative and technical skills both behind the camera and in the digital darkroom.
With a full-time career as a data architect, I don't get as much opportunity to be out with my camera as I'd like. But whenever possible, I have my finger on the shutter button and my eye to the view finder.
