Still cannot upload pics - if I crop or lower image size then picture quality /size is reduced also. Love the look of the new site, disappointed I cannot use !
Will keep trying to upload and catch up with all. Thank you to those still viewing , liking, commenting ,sharing and subscribing.

Just tried to upload a picture and still getting error message so it doesn't look like I can come back. Tom tried to help, suggested I emailed pics I wanted to upload direct to him but limited to 9mb attachments on emails. If we ever get cable maybe I can return !

I do use Google Chrome, have cleared my cache & using desktop. Having done speed check last night found it very low - BT did a 'cure' last week and speed got up to a whole 2 (whatever!), now down to below 1. Will have to get BT to fix again :-(

panning at about 1/40, with continuous focus, f16 (to have best chance of getting the dog right and the background will blur anyway), slowish burst mode, pray hard, and throw away 99% of your shots. At least, that's what I would do. If he's a chaser, and you have a collaborator, then you could even set it up so he runs across your target zone after a ball or something.

Thank you Peter, have tried your suggestions - they work well. I don't want set up shots ( but set up to experiment ) so now just waiting for right opportunity to shoot more ( no rain and no snow , just got some great action shots in the snow but auto focus has grabbed the snow ! ). I shoot action in jpeg rather than raw , am I right ?

Not sure about "right", but personally I always use raw (for everything). In fact, so much so that I don't really know how to "do" jpeg. However a friend of mine has a nikon 800, and the raw files are absolutely massive ... so not really too sure about that one!

Living life like someone left the gate open! You might want to try single point continous auto focus. Depending as to how far away he is, you need to be around F8 to get a good depth of field for the camera to work with. If you are shooting at 2.8 like it says here, then your camera is going to be having a hell of a job to lock on correctly.

Thank you for input. EXIF not correct on this shot ( I lose my EXIF in process sometimes) , settings would be pretty much as the last shot (running out of frame) , I think about F3.8, but will try at F8ish to see !

Good action shot :) Couple suggestions I might add...can't see the shutters speed on your data, ensure it is more than your focal length(twice would be ideal) and depending how close Paddy is maybe a slightly smaller(bigger number) aperture the closer he is, also how do you focus? with shutter button or back button. But will again say great shot Bev

Thank you Dylan, EXIF is not right on this pic., will try your suggestions next time I get out to shoot. I focus either auto with shutter button or manual with lens ( but normally auto for action shots)
