The Guardian of Sowerby Bridge: A Goose on Station Road

A charmingly typical scene in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, where nature and industry meet. A solitary white goose stands tall on the damp pavement of Station Road, framed by the impressive stone arches of the Sowerby Bridge Railway Viaduct. The overcast sky and wet road perfectly capture the atmospheric, moody northern English winter. A great shot for those who love British heritage, railway architecture, and quirky street life.
