Framed by History: Rochdale Canal at Luddendenfoot

I captured this peaceful scene looking out from beneath the stone archway of Station Road Bridge. The dark, textured masonry of the bridge perfectly frames the vibrant green of the Rochdale Canal as it winds past the historic waterside properties of Luddendenfoot. I love how the calm water creates a near-perfect reflection of the stone buildings and lush summer foliage, drawing the eye right down the towpath.
