Wirrabara Silo Art

Grain silos painted on this scale turn functional concrete into something else entirely. The mural wraps the full face of the structure: a broad-hatted man at the centre, native birds perched in eucalypt branches to either side. Hard midday sun and a cloudless deep blue made the colours read clean against the cylinders.
