Hidden Geometry

I took this photograph because I was drawn to the tiny patterns and textures that are almost impossible to notice from a normal distance. By getting this close, the flower starts to become something more abstract, with its surface revealing shapes and structures that I would normally overlook. I chose black and white to remove the distraction of colour and keep the attention on the details, contrast and natural geometry of the plant.
