Into the City

A London DLR train rushes along the curved tracks towards the illuminated Canary Wharf skyline, its movement turning the lights and colours of the carriages into streaks of red, blue and gold.
I wanted to capture the feeling of movement rather than freeze the train completely. The blur contrasts with the sharp buildings in the background, while the curve of the railway leads the eye deeper into the scene. For me, it captures that familiar feeling of travelling through London at night, when the city is still bright and constantly moving.
