Thames at Dusk

Sometimes the sky does most of the work. I captured this view across the Thames as the last light of the day filled the sky with layers of pink, purple, blue and warm orange, with the O2 and the surrounding London skyline silhouetted beneath it.
What I liked most was how those colours continued into the water, giving the whole scene a much softer atmosphere than you normally associate with this part of London. With the river relatively calm and the O2 sitting between the buildings on either side, it was one of those moments where simply being in the right place at the right time was enough.
