Through the Pantheon

Standing beneath the enormous columns of Rome's Pantheon, I was drawn to the contrast between the dark, shaded portico and the bright, bustling square beyond. The columns create a natural frame around Piazza della Rotonda, where centuries-old buildings, the fountain and crowds of visitors come together under a clear blue sky.
What I particularly liked was how the photograph brings two sides of Rome into a single scene. The massive ancient columns dominate the foreground, while everyday life continues just beyond them. It's a perspective that captures something I find fascinating about Rome: how its extraordinary history remains such a natural part of the modern city.
